UPRA RULE UPDATE: TIE DOWN ROPING - Effective
Jerk Down: In the Tie down roping event a contestant may receive no-time for
that run if he brings the animal over backwards between 10 and 2 with the
animal landing on his back or head with all four feet in the air. Decision
of Judges will be final and no undue protest by contestant will be
permitted. Jerk Down Fine: $100

Rodeo Company will again produce the Historic 88th Annual Clay
County Pioneer Reunion Rodeo, September 19, 20, 21 at Henrietta, Texas with
$10,000.00 Added Money.
The Fort Worth
Stockyards will be hopping with another great event at the Historic Cowtown
Coliseum, September 20, 21 with $4,500.00 Added Money.
Entries on the
NEXTGEN RODEO APP open Wednesday, September 11 at 9:00am and close Sunday,
Sept 15 at 5:00pm, Call or Text entries open Wednesday, Sept. 11 from 9:00am
to 4:00pm, Thursday, Sept. 12 from 9:00am to 4:00pm and Friday, Sept. 13
from 9:00am to 12noon at 1-903-287-7852. If contestant does not get one of
your two preferences, you have until Monday at 5:00pm to turnout with no
fees or fines. If a contestant receives first or second preferences, any
turn out will result in fees and fine due. Trades on the NextGen Rodeo App -
Monday, Sept. 16 till Tuesday, Sept. 17, close at 12 noon.
The 2019 Rodeo Season ends October 20,
2019, the 2020 Rodeo Season begins October 1, 2019. -

will be double points, count for 2019 & 2020 !

Performance Bonus Qualification: Contestant must
compete at 4 of 5 events to be eligible for performance bonus. If one of the
rodeos does not have your event, then you must compete at 3 of 4 rodeos. No
points will be awarded for "Performance Bonus". Contestant MUST have a current
UPRA Membership Card to be eligible.

The 2018 CINCH United Finals
Rodeo will be held November 15, 16, 17, 2018, at the Hopkins County Civic Center
in Sulphur Springs, Texas. This change will move the finals rodeo to Thursday
through Saturday night performances.
A detailed agenda will be
coming as we move closer to the CINCH UFR!
Ω Texas Senate Bill 2505 requires a minor
(Under the age of 18) to wear a bull riding helmet and a protective vest while
participating in bull riding. Contestant assumes all responsibility to comply
with state law.
The UPRA sanction
events are: BareBack Riding, Tie Down Roping, Ladies Breakaway Roping, Saddle
Bronc Riding, Team Roping, Steer Wrestling, Ladies Barrel Racing, Ranch Bronc
Riding and Bull Riding.
