We continue to monitor the COVID 19 crisis, the rodeo schedule is updated daily, sometimes hourly as information comes into the UPRA Office, some events that have been or will be affected are looking for future dates, we will update those as they come in.
The UPRA Board Meeting for April 14 has been canceled, our goal is to meet at the next regular scheduled meeting on May 12, 2020
The Judging Clinic at Corsicana has been canceled.
UPRA RULE UPDATE: TIE DOWN ROPING - Effective Immediately
No Jerk Down: In the Tie down roping event a contestant may receive no-time for that run if he brings the animal over backwards between 10 and 2 with the animal landing on his back or head with all four feet in the air. Decision of Judges will be final and no undue protest by contestant will be permitted. Jerk Down Fine: $100

Ω Texas Senate Bill 2505 requires a minor (Under the age of 18) to wear a bull riding helmet and a protective vest while participating in bull riding. Contestant assumes all responsibility to comply with state law.
Ω The UPRA sanction events are: BareBack Riding, Tie Down Roping, Ladies Breakaway Roping, Saddle Bronc Riding, Team Roping, Steer Wrestling, Ladies Barrel Racing, Ranch Bronc Riding and Bull Riding.
